A child's introduction to studying life begins in primary school, which is considered the foundational educational stage. The goal of entrepreneurship education is to provide students the information, abilities, and drive they need to maximize opportunities, provide solutions to problems, and own businesses. There are many reasons for starting this education from primary school which is the bedrock of development.


1. Easy Assimilation

The best moment to teach children is when they are young, flexible, and can easily soak up information. They are more pliable at this stage so you can easily feed them what you want them to absorb and become. Whatever is introduced at the early primary school stage and continued will eventually become part and parcel of the child. As the children keep growing, they will be so familiar with the prospect and can even start practicing and applying the knowledge where possible.  


2. Good Foundation

Teaching entrepreneurship in primary schools provides a sturdy foundation for life. It enables children to grow to be more creative and innovative. The mindset inculcated in the children prepares them for an independent future. With time, they are exposed to a large variety of income options aside from searching for jobs and depending on others to meet their needs. Such education broadens and balances their life perspectives over time.


3. Time Advantage

At the primary school stage, children have adequate time to learn and practice when it comes to entrepreneurship. They have enough time to learn and practice as much as possible and this is a good advantage. Even if mistakes are made, the opportunity to learn from them and make things right remains available. Starting early will give the children a good head start in the race of life and ample opportunity to excel. They will start early to practice entrepreneurship and this will help them to perfect the skills needed to be successful.


4. Lifetime Application

The subject of entrepreneurship will influence each child’s life to a large extent. They can use the knowledge even outside the country and wherever they find themselves in the future. Through learning about entrepreneurship, each child is able to discover his/her interests and strengths. Over time, discipline and resilience will be built into them as a result of solving problems and tackling challenges. Such skills and attributes will be beneficial in whatever endeavor or field they venture into.


5. Better Preparedness

Entrepreneurship makes the young ones better prepared for the real world and its challenges. They can take advantage of opportunities in the future having been prepared from a young age. They are able to achieve more, create more, and add value wherever they are found. Good qualities and characteristics are being learned by the children which will come in handy when there are projects to undertake in the future.

Teaching entrepreneurship in primary schools has become expedient as it benefits the children and society at large. Schools can register their pupils for training at entrepreneurial academies and expose them to the enriching concept of entrepreneurship.
